Teaching Areas:

Since joining the UBC Faculty of Dentistry in 2008, roles and responsibilities have included: a) didactic curriculum developer and instructor concerning community/public health, health promotion/literacy, advocacy, developmental disabilities, cultural safety, and interprofessional education and collaboration b) coordinator and moderator for joint dental public health panels, inaugural public dental health capacity building symposium and interprofessional dysphagia panels c) community student placement coordinator/supervisor/program planner for both dental hygiene and dental students d) lead in establishing the Douglas College/UBC Dental Hygiene Clinic e) service as faculty adviser, admissions interviewer/reviewer, interprofessional curriculum liaison, acting year coordinator, and member in various committees f) publications
