My career in dental hygiene (diploma from St. Clair College and degree from U of T) started in Ontario. Afterward, I finished my MEd in distance education at Athabasca University. Currently, I am a third-year student in the Doctorate in Distance Education Program at Athabasca University, AB.

In practice, I have worked in general dentistry, orthodontic specialty, and public/community health. I was a full-time manager (Interior Health) in dental public health for almost 10 years. I am still active in community care in the NWT remote, rural communities during fall and spring. I have years of experience as a board of directors on local, provincial, and national boards. BCDHA, CDHBC, CDHA, to name a few.

I have a unique position in the DHDP because I work solely online at UBC DOD. I am not on campus living in Cranbrook, BC. My classes are all asynchronous where I facilitate dental hygiene degree completion students and entry to practice students learning.
