At the second appointment three weeks later, the rubber dam was placed and the working area disinfected with chlorhexidine-ethanol solution. Calcium hydroxide was removed by irrigation with NaOCl and EDTA, and by hand instrumentation with NiTiFlex K-files to size #50. The canals were then irrigated, dried and filled with cold lateral condensation technique using three size #50 master cones, B accessory points and AH+ sealer.
