The working length was established to 20 mm with the help of an apex locator and working length radiograph. The canal was then instrumented to size 50. The canals were instrumented with reamers and a flare was created with Hedstrom files. One per cent sodium hypochlorite was used during instrumentation followed by 17 % EDTA.

A paste of Ca(OH)2 was packed in the canals with the help of a a Lentulo spiral instruments and paper points. The temporary filling used was IRM.
