The alveolar socket and the periapical area were carefully cleaned during the apicoectomy. The tooth was then replanted into its earlier position after blood coagulum was removed from the socket. Sutures were placed crossing the conus to stabilise the tooth. The tooth was seven minutes out of the alveolus, which is important to minimize the damage root surface cells and the possibility of ancylosis. Postoperative tetracycline and NSAID were prescribed. Systemic antibiotic therapy after replantation reduces the possibility of replacement resorption and ancylosis.
