Radiograph of tooth 44 showed apical periodontitis in a previously root filled tooth. Because of the close presence of the mental foramen, decision was made to perform intentional replantation. The patient was concerned about the possibility of loss of sensation in the lower lip. The patient was informed of the possibility of root fracture during extraction.
