Two days after root filling, apicoectomy was done. Inflammatory periapical tissue was removed and two retrograde fillings were made in cavities prepared with ultrasound tips.

PAD from the periapical tissue revealed cyst wall with epithelial coating and moderate and intensive chronic and subacute inflammation. Bacteriological sample taken during surgery revealed a pure culture of Bacillus cereus that was resistant to G-penicillin, amoxicillin and erythromycin.
