Infiltration anaesthesia was applied buccally at the apex region. The pulp was trepanated with a high-speed diamond with water cooling. Rubber dam was placed on the tooth and the working field was disinfected with chlorhexidine-ethanol solution. A nr. 10 K-file was used to inspect the canal and to determine the instrumentation length. At this point it was not possible to reach the desired length and the canal was prepared to 16 mm / 60 NiTiflex. Calcium hydroxide was packed in the canal, which was sealed with IRM.
