A 37-year-old male patient was referred to a specialist endodontic treatment of tooth 14. The tooth had been symptomatic earlier, but was symptomfree by the time the patient arrived the first meeting. Sensitivity test revealed that tooth was not vital, and the radioghraph showed a small radiolucent lesion at the apex. The diagnosis was apical periodontitis and endodontic therapy was initiated.
