A 42-year old man was referred to endodontic treatment of tooth 47. The tooth was symptomfree and did not respond to electrical pulp testing. A radiopgraph revealed a temporary filling that filled the pulp chamber and a fusioned root complex. A small periapical lesion was also seen. The diagnosis was apical periodontitis and the treatment plan was endodontic treatment.
