A nr. 15 K-file was inserted into the buccal canal, which is usually larger and more readily accessible than the lingual branch. The file was connected into an apex locator using two frequencies, which allows measurement also in moist environment. A working length radiograph was taken to verify the measurement by the apex locator. A decision was made of preparation length one millimeter shorter.
