A diagnostic radiograph of tooth 27 showed silver points in buccal canals and gutta-percha filling in the palatal canal. A decision of conservative retreatment was made. Access cavity was made with high-speed diamond and round bur at low speed to localise the silver points. Care was taken not to destroy the coronal ends of the silver points possibly extending to the pulp chamber.
