Apical resorption

Apical resorption is not an established disease entity. However, it may occur together with a variety of pathological processes or even dental treatment. Typical etiological factors for apical resorption are infection, pressure, or local tumor activity. Apical resorption as such does not often require treatment, rather it is an indication of treatment need for the process causing the resorption.
