Control radiograph taken 11 years after the root canal treatment and surgical operation. Formation of intact PDL (periodontal ligament space) and bone around the apex can be clearly seen.

Dark area in the bone is healing by scar tissue, which is typical when both buccal and palatal cortex have been perforated by the lesion at the time of operation.
