A rubber dam was placed on the tooth and an access cavity was prepared. Care was taken not to destroy the silver point tips in the pulp chamber. An ultrasound unit with a K-file tip was used to vibrate and dislodge the silver points. The mesiolingual point was removed easily within a few seconds, but the mesiobuccal point required ca. 30 min work with the ultrasound.
