Ten weeks after the start of the treatment the tooth was filled permanently with gutta-percha and sealer. The tooth had been symptomfree after the preparation. A master point radiograph was taken before making the final root filling to verify correct preparation and filling length. The final root filling with three nr. 50 gutta-percha points and several accessory points and sealer was made with a cold lateral condensation technique. Excess gutta-percha was removed with a warm instrument and a round bur and the root fillings were vertically condensed with a plugger. The cavity was filled with a tight temporary filling material. Partial healing of the lesion could be seen in the radiograph. Notice the lateral canal that was filled with sealer in the coronal part of the distal root.
