A forty-two-year-old woman with non-contributory medical history was referred to endodontic treatment of tooth 37. The tooth had been symptomatic and was slightly sensitive to vertical percussion at the clinical investigation. A radiograph revealed only one root and a root canal morphology typical of taurodontic teeth with a deep narrow pulp chamber and root canals starting just a few millimeters before the apex.
