A picture that was taken through the microscope shows the pulp chamber floor and three root canal openings, two mesial and one distal. The distal canal was prepared to size 50/20 mm and the mesial canals to size 45/20 mm using NiTiflex hand instruments. Copious amounts of 1 % sodium hypoclorite was used for irrigation throughout the instrumentation.
