One year after the start of the treatment, the patient lost part of the temporary filling in tooth 47. Control radiograph showed complete healing in tooth 47 and further progress in healing in tooth 46. Normal PDL space has started to form around the resorbed root tips.

The piece of the old root filling that was left in the lesion can still be seen at the centre of the lesion.

Permanent coronal restorations must be made to eliminate risk for coronal leakage and to ensure good long-term prognosis.
