Aseptics

Emphasis in endodontic treatment is often put on technical aspects related to instrumentation of the root canal system. While it is true that instrumentation of the canal has a central position in endodontic therapy, another cornerstone for successful treatment is asepsis. Ultimately, instrumentation is also a tool in asepsis. This chapter describes other procedures and materials used to obtain highest possible aseptic level in all endodontic activity.
