Normal radiographic anatomy

The orofacial region is anatomically quite complicated. A thorough understanding of the anatomy of the teeth, jaws and related structures is necessary for the treatment and prevention of various diseases of this region. In endodontics most of the work is being done in an area without direct visual contact, which further emphasises the importance of a sound knowledge of the anatomy of the involved tissues, including the typical and more rare variations in these anatomical structures.
