Radiography in endodontics

Radiographs are essential for good quality endodontic treatment. In endodontics, the parallel technique is preferable to the bisecting angle technique in order to minimize errors in preliminary measurements of the length of the tooth. In addition to a central projection, mesial and distal projections may be used in teeth with several roots/canals to optimise the information for each root and canal.
