Final radiograph

A final radiograph of the permanent root filling must always be taken to evaluate the quality of the filling and for later comparisons with review radiographs. The radiograph is taken with a film holder, e.g. Eggens or Endoray to ensure good quality. The paralleling technique should be used whenever possible. Sometimes, in multirooted teeth, more than one radiograph may need to be taken for the evaluation of all canals.
