
A sixty-eight-year-old man attended the dentist for pain and swelling in the upper jaw on the left. Clinical investigation showed a bridge from 16 to 25 and submucous abscess at the apical area of tooth 25. A radiograph revealed a periapical lesions in tooth 25 with two roots and root canals. The diagnosis was acute apical periodontitis and the treatment was endodontic treatment of tooth 25.
